Integrative Health & Wellness — SMS/MMS Messaging Policy
Program name and purpose
Integrative Health & Wellness (“IHW”) uses SMS/MMS text messaging to support two-way communication for patient scheduling and care coordination and limited clinic operational notifications.
Message types
You may receive text messages related to:
- Appointment reminders, confirmations, and rescheduling
- Telehealth coordination (including visit links) and intake/check-in prompts
- Administrative follow-up and care coordination (non-urgent)
- Clinic notifications relevant to your relationship with IHW (hours, closures, service updates)
Text messaging is not used for emergencies. If this is a medical emergency, call 911.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your interactions with the clinic (appointments, requests, and follow-ups).

Message and data rates may apply.
Consent and opt-in methods
IHW obtains consent to text using one or more of the following methods:
- Patient portal opt-in (explicit checkbox during account setup/intake)
- Website opt-in (explicit checkbox on forms)
- Written form (in-clinic intake/consent form)
- Inbound SMS (you initiate contact by texting IHW; we may confirm opt-in when required)
Consent is not a condition of purchase. When applicable, consent is stored with a timestamp in the patient record.
Opt-out (STOP)
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. After you opt out, you will receive a confirmation and no further messages will be sent unless you re-opt in.

Reply HELP for assistance. You may also contact the clinic during business hours.
Privacy and appropriate use
To protect your privacy, do not send sensitive medical information by text. When needed, we may direct you to the patient portal or another secure method for clinical details. We do not sell your personal information for third-party marketing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Carrier and service limitations
Message delivery is subject to mobile network availability and carrier policies. SMS/MMS may not be delivered in all areas or at all times.
